A remote web design team dedicated to the client’s needs

At Boldare, we love working with clients from all over the world – different territories, different markets, different needs...

RimThis project connected us to Israel for the first time. It began with a single goal – update a website – and became a case of mutual admiration and long-term collaboration.

This ongoing cooperation began with a need for dedicated designers and developers to augment PractiTest’s manpower. It began with building a new website and has grown to include UX improvements, application development, and added value for PractiTest customers.

Remote cooperation between Poland and Israel based on a many times proven process

We all know that the world is a global village now. We embrace that as we like to spread our word around the world, but meeting a client from Israel was a great door-opener to cooperation with business in that country and we must say we cherish this new relationship. Many new opportunities opened up to us and we gladly took the challenge.

Every good relationship starts with getting to know each other (and with good architecture and wireframes!)

Architecture

To make sure that our product design meets real business needs, we work according to our independently created process. It starts with a product discovery workshop, where the product vision is set out and deeply analyzed.

This provides a great foundation for the information architecture and wireframes, including all user flows and paths. One could call it multi-step verification of the client’s needs and actually that would be more than right, with one additional point - it is a real way to check user needs, based on previous experience, data, and knowledge gathered by our client over many years of running their business.

Our client gets a new look

The biggest demand on us was to create a completely new appearance for an existing product website, including all of its features. We took all the existing data and content and crafted a new experience where the app is presented as an easy-to-learn and easy-to-master product.

a mission of explanation

The old website was almost all just plain text. We had to add some space and hierarchy to almost everything in order to provide the users with comfortable viewing flow.

No hardware branding

As PractiTest is a multi-OS platform, they don’t want to be connected with specific hardware brands. We had to use different models to the ones from Cupertino’s company.

‘Good enough’ is not an option in the case of UI and UX design

PractiTest was very demanding, business-oriented and focused. This kind of partner pushes us to keep our Scrum process at the highest level: regular meetings, constant transparency, and full trust are the best ways to create a design geared to both user and business needs.

More interactions

More interactions

We put some videos and interaction elements to be sure user app understanding is bigger.

Global search

Global search

This on was a big challenge, we rote completly new global search to look for information on entire site and on external forum.

Fresh and vivid

Fresh and vivid

When the whole background is gray you need some colors to make it more alive. We designed icons with vivid colors to make the whole thing more visually dynamic.

A combination of light and space

A combination of light and space

We used a thin font for headlines and space between all elements in the project. This improved the reading experience for the user - important because there is a lot of information on the website, including detailed tech specs and long lists of features. Reading all that could feel frustrating. Well, not anymore.

You always have a choice

Design process, we always provide two moodboards for you to choose from, so you can pick what fits your brand best

From a new website to a long-term, dedicated remote team

After going live, our customer was satisfied enough to think about the next steps for product evolution and wanted to include Boldare in those plans. That is how we started our work on improving the app itself and not only that, many new features were added...

From hard work and good design, a long-term collaboration emerged

We threw away “the old” and brought you everything new, built from scratch and based on our careful process.

1

Designing the new website from scratch

Another one of our challenges was to fix the user experience by creating a completely new information architecture structure.

2

User flow and user experience had to be changed for better outcomes

We changed the right bits and pieces to create an easier - and therefore more satisfying - user experience.

Good product design can only be achieved with a 360° view

From the first workshop, through each individual wireframe, there was a team behind it - designers and developers, working hand in hand, produced a well-designed and simply effective web presence.
